Terms of Service

1. The service

yourstage.ai lets you practice job interviews and presentations out loud with an AI-driven video interviewer or audience, and gives you transcripts, scores and feedback. Features may change as we improve the service.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older and able to make a binding agreement. You sign in with links sent to your email, so keep your email account secure; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. One person per account.

3. Minutes, plans and payments

• New accounts get 5 free interview minutes, once. Presentations need a paid plan.
• Pro and Pro Plus are monthly subscriptions. Each month includes the minutes and deck preparations shown on our pricing when you subscribe. Unused monthly minutes don’t carry over to the next month.
• Extra-minute packs (30 minutes) are paid once and last 12 months from purchase. Your plan’s monthly minutes are used first, then packs (oldest first), then any free minutes.
• A session ends when your minutes run out. We may end sessions that stop responding.
• Prices are in US dollars, with taxes added where the law requires. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Automatic renewal. Plans renew every month at the price shown when you subscribed until you cancel. We’ll tell you before any price change applies to your plan.
• Canceling. Cancel any time from the Plans & billing page (Manage subscription). Your plan stays active until the end of the month you’ve paid for, then stops renewing.
• Refunds. If you ask within 14 days of a purchase and none of that purchase’s minutes have been used, we refund it in full. Otherwise payments aren’t refundable, except where the law requires. To ask, email hello@yourstage.ai from your account’s address.

4. Organizations

If a school or employer gives you access through an organization, its admins can see how many of the shared minutes you use, how many sessions you run and when you last practiced, but not your transcripts, answers or scores. The organization’s own terms with us (seats, dates, payment) are agreed separately.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you give us (job descriptions, your slides’ text, your answers) and of your transcripts and feedback. You let us process it only to run the service for you, as our Privacy Policy describes.

Don’t upload confidential material, anything that belongs to a client or employer, or anything you don’t have the right to use, and don’t include other people’s personal information unless you’re allowed to.

6. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

• break the law or anyone’s rights;
• upload abusive, hateful, sexual or otherwise harmful content;
• try to break, overload or get around the service’s limits or security;
• copy, scrape or resell the service, or use it to build a competing one;
• impersonate anyone, or share your account.

7. AI feedback

Questions, follow-ups, scores, feedback and claim checks are produced by AI and can be wrong or incomplete. They’re practice aids, not professional, career, legal or financial advice, and they don’t guarantee any interview, job, grade or presentation outcome. Check anything important yourself.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep yourstage.ai running but can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or remove features. If we shut the service down, we’ll refund the unused part of any prepaid month or pack.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using yourstage.ai at any time and ask us to delete your account (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we close yours without such a reason, we’ll refund the unused part of any prepaid month or pack.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows: the service is provided “as is”, without implied warranties; we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits or opportunities; and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be decided by the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For meaningful changes, we’ll tell you by email or on the site before they apply; using yourstage.ai after that means you accept them.
