Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 September 2026

yourstage.ai lets you practice job interviews and presentations out loud with an AI interviewer or audience. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and your choices. yourstage.ai is run by Masoud Sami, an individual based in California, USA (“we”, “us”). Questions? Email hello@yourstage.ai.

1. What we collect

  • Your account. Your email address, which you use to sign in with an emailed link. There are no passwords.
  • What you practice with. For interviews: the industry track, role, company and job description you enter, and the questions we prepare. For presentations: your audience, difficulty and any context you add.
  • Your slides. Your PDF stays in your browser. To prepare your audience, we send each slide’s text and an image of the slide to our AI provider; we never store the file or the slide images. We keep the notes made about your deck: a summary, its claims, questions and, if you turn on “Check claims online”, the sources found.
  • Your voice. During a session your microphone is streamed to our avatar provider, which turns your speech into text as you talk. We don’t record or keep audio or video.
  • Your practice history. Each session’s transcript, your scores and feedback, and how long the session lasted.
  • Payments. Your plan, your minutes and purchases, and the customer and subscription numbers from our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe collects and keeps your card details; they never reach our servers.
  • Organizations. If you join one through its join link: your membership and role. Its admins see how many of the shared minutes you use, how many sessions you run and when you last practiced. They can’t see your transcripts, answers or scores.
  • Messages. What you send us by email.
  • Technical data. Short-lived server logs, such as IP addresses, browser details and errors, to keep the service secure and fix problems. We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in: no advertising or analytics cookies, and no trackers.

2. How we use it

  • To run the service: sign you in, run your sessions, prepare your audience, score your practice and keep your history.
  • To manage your minutes, plan and payments, and an organization’s shared minutes.
  • To send the sign-in emails you ask for and answer your messages. We don’t send marketing email.
  • To keep the service secure and working.

We don’t sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Our AI provider doesn’t train its models on what we send it.

3. Who helps us run the service

We share personal information only with providers that process it for us under contract, and only as needed:

  • Hosting, database and sign-in providers, which store your account and practice history.
  • Our AI provider, which prepares questions and follow-ups, reads your slides, checks claims online if you ask it to, and scores your practice.
  • Our avatar provider, which runs the video interviewer or audience and transcribes your speech.
  • Stripe, our payment processor.
  • Email providers, which deliver sign-in emails and forward messages sent to us.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the service, in which case this policy keeps applying to it.

4. Where it's kept

Our providers store and process data in the United States. If you use yourstage.ai from elsewhere, your information is transferred to the United States.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and practice history while you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and your practice history within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep, such as payment records for tax. Server logs are kept only for a short time.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing hello@yourstage.ai from the address on your account. We’ll answer within 30 days.

California residents have the right to know what we collect and how we use it, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don’t sell or share it. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.

In the EU or UK, we rely on our contract with you to provide the service, on our legitimate interest in keeping it secure and working, and on legal obligations where the law requires records. You can also object to processing, and complain to your local data protection authority.

Do Not Track. We don’t track you across other websites, so there is nothing to turn off.

7. Age

yourstage.ai is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and if we learn we have, we delete it.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to it is limited, and our database can’t be read through its public interface. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t upload confidential or client material.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and tell you by email or on the site before the change applies. See also our Terms of Service.
